It’s an Afro week edition.
I started off with freshly washed hair, conditioned and two strand twisted.
Style One: I had to step out of the house for a bit, I unraveled the middle front two two-strand twists then rolled the hair and pinned on the side. I accessorized with a head scarf to cover the rest of the twists.
For the next four styles my night routine was the same, I applied a small amount of leave-in conditioner to the hair focusing mainly on the ends then two-strand twisted. I had six twists, I wore my bonnet and off to bed.
Style Two: Afro Puff. Tuesday morning, I apply a small amount oil to the twists then unravel. I gently comb the hair from the ends to the roots. Once it is all combed out, I apply a small amount of Sleek Edges to the front hair then use a soft bristle brush to brush the front hair backwards. I use a bra strap to tie the puff, I put it on my hair line then gently push backwards until I get the desired look.
Style Three: Side Puff. I gently comb the hair from the ends to the roots. Once it is all combed out, I apply a small amount of Sleek Edges to the front, sides and back hair. I then use soft bristle brush to brush front hair backwards and the back hair upwards. I use a bra strap to tie the puff, I put it on my hair line then gently push the strap starting with the back working my way to the middle of my head. I then push the right side towards the left side of my head until I get the desired look.
Style Four: High Puff. I gently comb the hair from the ends to the roots. Once it is all combed out, I apply a small amount of Sleek Edges to the front, sides and back hair then use a soft bristle brush to brush the hair. I use a bra strap to tie the puff, I put it on my hair line then gently push the back and side hair towards the front until I get the desired look.
Style Five: Mohawk. I gentle comb the hair from the ends to the roots. Once it is all combed out, I apply a small amount of Sleek Edges to the side hair then use soft bristle brush to brush the side hair towards the middle section of my head . I then used bobby pins to secure the hair in the middle and manipulated the hair until I achieved a Mohawk look.
Style Six: Nappy Afro. I apply a small amount of oil to the twists then unravel. I separate each twist from the roots upto an inch away from the ends of my hair. I apply a small amount of Sleek Edges to the front, sides and back hair then use soft bristle brush to brush the front hair backwards. I use a bra strap to tie the puff, I put it on my hair line then gently push backwards until I get the desired look. Nappy Hair. Don’t Care.
Happy Styling 🙂.
Note: You can use a head band, or shoes lace, or yarn, or whatever is comfortable for you to tie your puff. You can also use Gel instead of Sleek Edges.
