Take Part In The Relay For Life 2012

It’s October, which means it is breast cancer awareness month. Many of us know that cancer treatment often causes hair loss — an inevitable BC that many would rather not have. How many know that the last verse of India Arie’s smash-hit song, I Am Not My Hair was written after Arie watched Melissa Etheridge perform bald at the 2005 Grammy awards following her treatment for breast cancer.

As part of efforts to raise money and awareness, the Zambian Cancer Society is organising the 2nd Annual Relay for Life event. This is a fun relay activity perfect for groups of ten that will take place at the Olympic Youth Development Centre from 16hrs on 13th October, right through the night to 06hrs on 14th October. This is because cancer never sleeps.
