Introducing ‘Dear ZedHair’

Here at ZedHair we love to promote healthy hair practises. Our goal is to show that Zambian hair CAN thrive when it is treated in the right manner. The ZedHair Natural Hair Show highlighted just how much of a thirst for knowledge there is out there. After I shared my own experiences of being natural and using products that can be mixed from ingredients available within the country I was inundated with questions and when Masuka asked me to run monthly workshops with her I was delighted at the opportunity to be able to quench some of that thirst.

Mwanabibi shared her entire hair regimen and took us through the products that she uses, many of which she mixes at home

Our first workshop was in July; we have run three more since then and it’s really gratifying to see just how far some of our regular attendees have come since the hair show in April.

The ZedHair readership increased significantly last year and we often get asked for advice on best practise as well as products and services that are available in Zambia. At the moment we are only able to run workshops in Lusaka so to make sure the rest of you don’t feel left out we have decided to introduce a weekly ‘Dear ZedHair’ advice column.

Are you trying to grow long, healthy hair or just want to maintain a funky TWA? Are you a product junkie in need of an intervention? Do you need advice on maintenance, products or styling? Ask ZedHair!

Every Friday you will have the opportunity to ask a question on our Facebook page. One question will be chosen at random and the answer will be published on the blog the next Wednesday. You can also send an email with your question to mwanabibi@zedhair.com .
